About Me

Hi, I'm Trevor Funk

A certified Oxygen Advantage and Buteyko Breathing instructor.

I came to breath training after realizing that, contrary to what I'd always assumed, I was actually a dysfunctional breather — with symptoms including exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (sports-induced asthma), chronic allergies (rhinitis), and a scattered mind. I quickly realized that dysfunctional breathing was affecting my performance as a business professional, an endurance athlete, and simply as a human being. I'm glad to report that all of these symptoms, and the diminished performance that came with them, have greatly improved since applying and maintaining these breathing practices.

My approach

I believe breathing is one of the most overlooked levers for health — it's something we do around 20,000 times a day, almost entirely on autopilot, and small dysfunctional patterns can quietly affect sleep, energy, stress, and physical performance for years without anyone noticing.

My approach is practical and personalized. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all breathing advice. Every session starts with understanding your patterns, your goals, and your current health picture, and building a plan from there — gradually, safely, and without unnecessary strain.

Who I work with

I work with anyone looking to address any aspect of wellness and performance. This can include:

When I'm not coaching breathing, you'll find me chasing a good round of golf, logging solitary miles on a trail run, or — my favorite personal win of all — finally able to cuddle my dog without triggering a debilitating sneezing and wheezing attack.
